Give Thanks for the Quiet
Happy Thanksgiving to all, and may you not forget to actually give thanks for anything that makes you happy. For some Thanksgiving is a day were we are all licensed to over eat (I tend to eat a bit more myself). For others its a time to get together with relatives and bicker while they hack into a turkey wishing it was their cousin. And for others its just a polite thing to say to the stranger at the grocery store as to appear like we actually care. I am only human, and I will admit I have leaned toward these three ways of thinking a time or two myself. And the only thing that I'm "thankful" for is the peace and quite of my own room at the end of a day off from school...and maybe the trash load of stuff that I got for wicked awesome prices while shopping on Black Friday. But today I'm going to pretend do my best to be the happy-go-lucky character that people often see me as. Maybe for once we could all try to be genuinely appreciative of life and each others company. Key word: try. After all, its a national holiday.

Smile While You Can
You know life is good when you hear your theme song twice within thirty minutes. And if you can't have a random dance moment regardless of where you are, then I promise you, age will not cease to overcome your body, mind and soul without hesitation. I'd say its time for us all to start living a little. Let go of the overly mature bind that life can bring down upon us, and give ourselves the chance to smile. Cause you might actually enjoy yourself. I work in a grocery store and am practically paid to be in contact with strangers all the time. I see so many who have drowned themselves in daily routine and let it become their daily pain, only to adapt to it and grow numb. And once we, subconsciously, only allow ourselves the suppressed emotions of pain and anger, we loose the chance to experience so much more...In the end, it'll be your choice to let your friends and boyfriends steal your opinions and self will. Or let your marriage (something beautiful) steal your youth and spontaneity. People are crazy to let precious things become warped and harmful, when they were created for our joy, our guides, our free pass to a smile. And yes, we all deserve to smile.

Artist Within
I believe that there is an artist within all of us. And I don't mean that everyone can draw a "Mona Lisa", but more that humans are designed to see the beauty in things. Scope out the intentions, the possibilities in everything. The difference is whether or not, when a person sees that beauty, they lift it up to grow...or ignore it. Regardless of the subject, whether culinary, music, sports, business, law enforcement, doctor, carpentry, and Art, we create. We design. We express. Exactly how we were made to. And once you truly embrace that, nothing can stop you. Lack of finances, opportunity, health, nothing. The dark side in people has a want for power. Control. And people will try to control you, plan out your every step and make it appear as if you came up with the idea on your own. Your choice, as an "artist" of your own, is to break free from that bond...Step up, people. Once we stop fretting, and begin living, life blooms on its own. And even your "mistakes" only map out a bigger picture of something much better than perfection...Its real life. Your life. And yes, it is beautiful. Some people struggle with trusting, and leave nothing to chance. Others don't believe in a bigger picture, and leave everything to chance. Both lead to a prison of our own making. "Our biggest regrets in life aren't the things we do, but the things we don't do" And sometimes when we let those moments pass...we never get them back. Its time to embrace that beauty. Cause its much better than sanity...its INSANE.
